The Valley of Peace Wedding and Events Venue is a truly versatile setting, it has the ability to be all things to all people no matter what the occasion. The Setting itself offers you a combination of stunning rural New Zealand and the character of an old style farm but with a modern touch.
Valley of Peace Venue has its own character but unlike many rustic or vineyard type settings it has a very gentle and relaxed character. The upside of this is that know matter what the occasion it’s you and your day that takes all the attention not the venue.
What we offer is a setting for your big day out that does have that unique feel and ambience that’s very easily personalised. From birthdays to weddings to corporate functions the Valley of Peace Venue offers you a rustic blank canvas with just a touch of its own character in the wonderful rustic setting of the Port Hills. With very little effort the barn can become something that’s truly yours, lighting, music and perhaps some candles placed around, its really incredibly simply to make this venue yours for a night.
The Valley of Peace Wedding Venue provides you with an indoor or outdoors all weather facility. This venue has its own power supply, lighting, and heating and uses the town water supply. It is able to be a fully enclosed venue or if you wish to have a bit more of nature you can have a semi-enclosed facility giving you the best of both worlds.
The “red barn” is the centerpiece of the venue that is made up of several areas which can be easily personalized. Its 4 rooms allow you to have things like a bar, dance floor, lounge area and large reception area. If you wish we have an upstairs area that provides a warm and comfortable area for the bridal party to converse or simply an area away from the main event that’s quiet and warm.
These areas combined add up to a venue with a difference, truly a special setting for your special day.
The barn reception room happily seats 80 to 100 people depending on the arrangement and will accommodate larger groups for cocktail style events. It has the versatility of being able to expand either end of the main reception area with the addition of our Marque this added increases the seated capacity and also adds the ability to offer new seating arrangments.
The red barn is surrounded with multiple large grassed areas, fenced in post and rail and shaded by 50 year old trees. These areas provide an excellent opportunity to add the out door experience to your special day. These Marquee style events provide spacious car parking areas and are large enough to land Helicopters, if this is your preferred mode of transport!
